Ingredients

MAIN INGREDIENTS

  •  1 pound of your favorite pasta
  •  1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  •  1 onion, finely chopped
  •  2 cloves garlic, minced
  •  2 (14.5-ounce) cans diced tomatoes, drained
  •  1 teaspoon dried oregano
  •  1 teaspoon dried basil
  •  Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  •  1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.

3. Add the tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.

4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is coated in the tomato sauce.
